Ovarian Cyst Pain – Why Drugs And Surgery Can’t Cure It

If you are suffering from ovarian cyst pain your life is pretty miserable right now isn’t it?  If you’re lucky you just have a dull ache in your lower abdomen.  Maybe it radiates to the small of your back and the back of your upper thighs.  And of course there is the bloating and the constant “full” feeling that you have in your stomach.

You had to go to the doctor because you want to make sure this pain is caused by ovarian cysts and not by another condition like a tumor or endometriosis which can have more serious implications.

So you know the cyst is the culprit.  What is your doctor doing about it?

Are you in the “watchful waiting” mode where literally nothing is done except periodic ultrasounds to monitor the growth?  If you have serious pain, probably not.  You were probably given two options; hormonal therapy or surgery.  Both of those will probably work but they both come with their own set of side effects.  Neither therapy will prevent ovarian cysts from reoccurring.

Your doctor can not cure ovarian cysts because she is only treating the symptoms, not the cause.  She can treat the one you have today, but she can not prevent another one from appearing next menstrual cycle.  And then you have to go through all this again.

Ovarian cysts are often caused by an imbalance of hormones and insulin.  This imbalance has to be addressed in order to get the body to shrink the cysts and develop an environment that simply won’t support their formation in the future.  There isn’t a simple pill to accomplish this.

Finding and correcting the root cause of the cysts requires a common sense natural approach.  The principal “medication” to get your body back in balance is your diet.  You will have to make some modifications and what you don’t eat will be just as important as what you do.

One of the fastest ways to relieve pressure in the abdomen is to start consuming high fiber foods combined with increased drinking of water.  Water is exceptionally important.  You should drink half your body weight, expressed in ounces, each day.  So if you weigh 140 pounds you need to drink at least 70 ounces of water.

Diet is important but there are other natural treatments to reduce pain and control stress, both important factors to control in order to eliminate ovarian cysts.

A natural approach is a whole body approach and obviously not as simple as taking a hormone pill or even having surgery.  It is an ongoing process.  While your cysts can disappear in as little as two menstrual cycles, you will need to be aware of what you eat and how you live in order to keep them away permanently.

But think about that for a moment.  No more ovarian pain. No more trips to the doctor.  No more co-payments or expensive drugs.  Isn’t the effort worth it?

Yeast Infection Drugs – What You Didn’t Tell You!

If you are currently suffering with a yeast infection, know that drugs, creams and pessaries are not always the only option to get rid of your yeast infection. In fact, if you are a woman, you probably know, that you are prone to frequent yeast infections and what you should be looking for is a method that gets rid of this infection permanently.

This chronic condition is hard to eliminate using drugs, antibiotics and over-the-counter creams – it becomes a vicious and destructive cycle. Depending on which part of the world you are, you are most likely familiar with names like Diflucan, Monistat and Canesten. Although many of these are inexpensive and easy to use and act fast to relief symptoms, the truth is they have many disadvantages:

1. They work temporarily and focuses on “making the patient” comfortable and act as patches to the symptoms of the disease instead of healing the main cause of the infection.

2. They do not provide a solution for frequent yeast infections.

3. Most of these drugs carry a number of side effects, some of which are quite serious.

Here’s the reason why this type of treatment will ultimately cease working or make your infection worse.

1. The yeast will sooner or later develop resistance to these drugs making them futile.

2. Unfortunately, what you doctor fails to say is that this type of treatment disturbs your fragile inner body causing damage to the liver poising your body leading to a weak immune system which makes it even more prone to recurring yeast infections.

Luckily there is an alternative to yeast infection drugs that has proven to be effective for thousands of women and men worldwide that tackles the infection from the root and restores the inner body back to balance. Natural remedies: they are safe, simple and 100% natural.

Cure Thrush Fast – All You Need To Know To Cure Thrush!

Vaginal discharge? Constant itching and burning? Arrghhhh. It would drive any woman insane! Thrush is a vaginal yeast infection which is caused by an imbalance of our own internal environment and it affects over 75% of women at some stage in their lives. Some of the causes of internal fungus infections such as yeast and Candida include:

- Antibiotics and birth control pills – these are fungus friendly allowing for fungal overgrowth

- A weak immune system (if you’ve had chemotherapy or other such type of treatment then your body is more susceptible to vaginal yeast infections)

- Caffeine: Yes indeed, caffeine removes the good bacteria that resides in our bodies and allows for fungal overgrowth to occur quicker

- Diabetes: this increases the sugar level in your blood and urine which again encourages fungal overgrowth as yeast feeds on sugar.

SO, how can you cure thrush fast?

The good news is that thrush can be treated and if treated properly the yeast infection could be gone in a week or two, sometimes it can take just a couple of days. HOWEVER if you leave it untreated thrush will stay with you for years.

Thrush can be treated with medication or using natural remedies. Natural remedies can be more effective as they can treat the root cause of the problem whereas prescribed drugs or over the counter meds temporarily cures thrush only to come back again.

As a former yeast infection sufferer I found these natural cures for treating thrush very effective: garlic, tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar and unsweetened yoghurt douche. These remedies are very powerful and effective if used properly.

Other things you should consider are: a cleansing diet and a body detox. Try and avoid these yeast loving contributors until you thrush has been treated successfully: alcohol, sugar and yeast, antibiotics and oral contraceptives and chemical cleaners.

PMS Causes and Cures

While the exact causes of PMS (premenstrual syndrome) are unknown, the reported symptoms have remained virtually unchanged for decades. PMS is experienced by women of child-bearing age and symptoms include emotional, physical and psychological disruptions. Here we will evaluate what is happening in the body during a bout of PMS and how you might use vitamins and supplements to ease the severity of the symptoms.

PMS seems to occur when estrogen levels drop. In a normal menstrual cycle, estrogen levels slowly rise until about two weeks before menstruation. Then, they sharply fall until menstruation begins. During this two weeks, many women experience anxiety, fatigue, headaches, mood swings, fluid retention, insomnia and depression.

There seems to be a link with the drop in estrogen and production of the mood, appetite and sleep regulating hormone, serotonin. While there is no medical proof that low serotonin levels result in PMS, the symptoms are consistent with low levels of serotonin. Additionally, we know that estrogen keeps serotonin from breaking down and the two normally work together in the body to regulate mood and cognition.

Treatment for PMS revolves around treating the symptoms. Your doctor may recommend drugs for depression, therapy, dietary changes and exercise to ease symptoms. In addition, you may find supplementing with certain vitamins helpful. Talk to your doctor about the proper dosages before you buy vitamins.

Many studies have been done to determine which vitamins and minerals are most helpful in relieving PMS symptoms. There is substantial proof that taking calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, vitamin B6 and vitamin C can ease symptoms, each in a different way.

Calcium supplements can relieve all PMS symptoms except fatigue and insomnia. Almost all women that suffer from PMS are calcium deficient. It can take up to three months of supplementing to correct the imbalance, so be patient and take your supplements regularly.

Calcium works in three ways. The nervous system, muscular system and the hormonal systems all require a certain amount of calcium to function properly. When estrogen levels drop, the demand for calcium is increased. The body takes the calcium that it needs from the bones.

The calcium that is taken from bone is very hard for the body to use and it is believed that a lot of the fatigue associated with PMS is attributed to the body’s concentration on processing the bone calcium. Low calcium levels cause muscle cramps and spasms. Nerve impulse transmission is also affected. Additionally, low estrogen levels make the absorption of calcium more difficult.

Vitamin D can also be taken to increase absorption of calcium. Magnesium is also proven to greatly reduce PMS symptoms by working with estrogen to reduce stress, water retention, and relax muscles. Magnesium combined with vitamin B-6 also can relieve anxiety.

Many women suffer heavy menstrual bleeding, which can lead to anemia through iron loss. Vitamin C has a significant impact on iron absorption and can help with fatigue. Heavy bleeding is generally caused by weak and fragile blood vessels. They leak as inflammation increases and can make menstruation more painful, exhausting and even dangerous. Vitamin C taken daily reduces heavy bleeding by strengthening blood vessels and reducing inflammation. If vitamin C is not well tolerated by your stomach, try a buffered vitamin C powder.

Talk with your doctor about treating your PMS with vitamins and supplements before you buy vitamins. It is important to be sure that your symptoms are caused by PMS and not another underlying condition.
